With a degree in Electronic Engineering and 30+ years’ experience in high tech industries both in technical & sales, Paolo Massimi brings in Electron mec a long career in semiconductors, renewable energy, and microelectronics. His real strength lies in his passion for the field, a solid technical bakground and a business mindset that perfectly matches Electron mec’s vision.

How did you get to know Electron mec, and why did you decide to join the team?

“I had known about Electron mec’s strong reputation since a long while, but it was meeting Luigi Calligarich and Paolo Valesi in person that made the difference. I met them at industry fairs over the years and always appreciated their approach: customer focus, solid business model, and clear team-oriented vision.
What impressed me most, was their ability to build a network of complementary companies, working together to generate shared value. That kind of synergy is exactly what our sector needs to succeed.”

So the collaborative approach won you over?

“Exactly. Teamwork — both internally and externally — is essential. While Asia and the US lead the global microelectronics market, Europe can only stay competitive by offering more and more high-level services and creating strong synergies. This industry can be demanding, but Electron mec — also thanks to its French office — stays closely connected to the market. That’s key to delivering innovative, up-to-date solutions. Partnerships with universities and research centers are also a strategic asset. Electron mec really believes in that”.

Qualifying components suitable for automotive, medical, aerospace, or telecom applications can take years. That’s why the team makes all the difference, especially today with so much public investment happening.
