Electron Mec and Visiorobotics: Key Players in Europe across Trade Shows and Workshops

A busy May full of innovation and research events in microelectronics and beyond

An intense period of trade fairs and workshops spanning from Milan to Bologna and Lausanne. Electron Mec and Visiorobotics are fully engaged in the forefront of innovation and research shaping Europe’s technological future. Their commitment to attending events (often overlapping on the calendar) highlights their dedication to the high-tech sector.

Excellent turnout at the IMAPS Italy spring event: “Packaging for Medical Electronics”

The well-attended event recently wrapped up at the Politecnico di Milano, gathering the European leaders making a difference in the field of medical devices. Electron Mec, a key partner of the International Microelectronics And Packaging Society – Italian Chapter, actively contributed to organizing the event, which proved to be a success. Three highly significant innovations emerged in this niche but rapidly growing sector, revealing promising and unexpected perspectives.

  • Personalized Care: Advanced Big Data management, the evolution of IoT, and the introduction of new biocompatible materials are paving the way for increasingly personalized medicine. Innovative sensors based on flexible electronics can now be integrated in the garments or attached to the body without triggering rejection, and by monitoring each patient’s lifestyle or health, they provide vital data for targeted therapies.
  • Preventive Medicine: The rapid processing of large volumes of patient-specific data allows for predictive health decisions, enabling early detection of potential future illnesses or subtle warning signs.

  • Less Invasive Medicine: New biocompatible materials help to reduce the impact of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. One example is special plastic electrodes that can replace traditional ones during craniotomies. These new solutions can remain in direct contact with the brain, providing real-time feedback to surgeons. Other pioneering biocompatible materials—such as those developed by the Italian Institute of Technology—include ingestible sensors made from plant-based components. These fully non-invasive devices can travel through the digestive tract while collecting and transmitting valuable data.

Electron Mec is proud to work with such amazing organizations, providing the systems that helped bring these groundbreaking technologies to life.

Europe Shows and Workshops Electron Mec and Visiorobotics

At “AI Week” in Milan

Electron Mec and Visiorobotics could not miss Italian’s largest event dedicated to Artificial Intelligence. Currently taking place at Fiera Rho, both companies are actively involved in promoting the use of AI libraries in industrial automation. Their ability to integrate advanced vision and robotics into next-generation automation makes them leading figures in the shift toward more adaptive and high-performance AI.

At “Enris 2025” to Talk Nanofabrication

The biennial European fair dedicated to nanotechnology and nanofabrication research labs is currently underway in Bologna. As envisioned by the EU, top experts in the field are gathering to share knowledge and experience—a synergy increasingly essential to overcoming Europe’s technological gap in this domain. Electron Mec, a long-standing collaborator with Bologna’s CNR, is proudly participating.

At EPFL Lausanne for the 24th MicroNanoFabrication Review Meeting

Electron Mec is among the exhibitors at the “MicroNanoFabrication Review Meeting,” showcasing the annual achievements of Switzerland’s most renowned and advanced research institute. As a partner and supplier to EPFL, Electron Mec is honored to take part in this important and inspiring event.
