Administrative & Commercial Office: from Morena Vinciguerra to Lidia Migliavacca

Passing the torch: learning from the past, looking to the future

The role of the administrative and commercial office has evolved significantly over time, becoming much more strategic. It’s no longer just about providing simple support; it’s a central coordination hub connecting the technical, sales, and administrative departments. For 32 years, Morena Vinciguerra has led this department at Electron Mec, and her expertise and professionalism have been crucial to the company’s development. Now, she’s preparing the next generation to take over.

You’ve seen Electron Mec grow. What do you remember?

“I’ve witnessed the transformation from a small family company to a larger, international, and forward-thinking organization. However, it has never lost its core values, the strong bond among its employees, and its passion for new challenges. Looking back, you can see how far Electron Mec has come thanks to the innovative ideas everyone has contributed. These contributions will continue to guarantee evolution and up-to-date know-how. It’s been an important journey, not without difficulties and challenges, but overcoming them together has made us feel even more united and ready to embrace the future”.

Your job has also changed a lot, hasn’t it?

“I’ve seen many changes: carbon paper replaced by printers, floppy disks by CD-ROMs, and now the potential of the latest technology. We’ve all been part of both technological and managerial changes, and this has enriched me as a person. I thank Electron Mec for giving me the opportunity to develop by assigning me roles that always required more availability and flexibility to achieve specialized skills. It’s been a personal growth that, perhaps, I wouldn’t have experienced if I hadn’t been at Electron Mec”.

What do you mean by that?

“Luigi Calligarich, his son Sebastiaan, and all the company’s collaborators have always encouraged the exchange of ideas, discussion, and listening. In our company, people have been, and continue to be, valued. Every opportunity for professional development or employee growth has been encouraged and supported. There’s no better environment in which to work and grow”.

And yet, you’ll be leaving soon…

“Not before I’ve passed on my years of experience to Lidia, Sabrina, and Alessandra (who recently joined the administrative-sales area). Their commitment deserves my full attention so they are ready for the roles they will take on. My time at Electron Mec will thus continue through the work of my new colleagues. In this company, in addition to sharing 32 years of work, we’ve celebrated Christmas parties and birthdays together. We’ve participated as a team in challenges, difficult situations, and successes. The days have always been very intense, and in retirement, I might find myself reminiscing about some moments with nostalgia”.

Lidia, how do you feel in your new role?

“I’m truly happy to have been chosen to succeed Morena in such an important administrative role. This means a lot to me because it confirms that Luigi Calligarich trusts my abilities. Over the years, I’ve always been able to count on his support, especially for continuous training, and now this new challenge is a fantastic opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. Facing change can sometimes be a bit scary, but I know I can count on Morena, who has proven to be a truly valuable teacher and is giving me precious support. Putting the know-how she has transferred to me into practice is undoubtedly a great responsibility, but even though it will take time, I have no doubt I will succeed. The most important thing she managed to transmit to me is the passion for this job. Here, I feel recognized and appreciated, and I can’t wait to contribute in this new role as well”.

What was your first impression of Electron Mec?

“Coming from a large company, I immediately appreciated the environment and its family-like spirit. Here, you’re not just a number. You matter for the person you are, as well as for what you do. You are listened to, encouraged to give your best, you feel like an active part of a beautiful team, and you know you contribute to common success. The numerous extra-curricular activities that employees themselves organize, and in which many participate with great enthusiasm and fun, also demonstrate this. Being part of Electron Mec also means feeling part of a welcoming and close-knit professional and human community”.

It seems very different from your previous job.

“A great satisfaction here is the fact that we work at 360 – you don’t just participate in something you might not fully understand; you are an integral part of every phase of the project, you see it grow, and you can give your personal contribution. We work autonomously, and they give us full trust, which is also why we are proud of the results”.

So, a much more fulfilling way to experience administration?

“Absolutely, here you never get bored. The work is constantly evolving, and there are many challenges to face every day with grit and optimism. Last but not least, the advent of artificial intelligence, which, even in the administrative sector, foreshadows big changes both from a practical operational point of view and, above all, in the way we approach work. But this doesn’t scare us; on the contrary, it stimulates us to find new ways to continue to always give our best”.
